Well, the lowdown on Brown Drakes is that it has essentially slowed down for the evening thing.  That's not to say it will not happen again in the next couple of nights but the madness has ended. The number of cars on the Creek tonight was minimal just as the number of Drakes near the Picabo Bridge was minimal. The fish will recognize Drake patterns for at least the next 3 or 4 days and hopefully we'll get a couple bonus emergences here and there.

As far as the Big Wood River goes, it has essentially blown out and is running at 1,100 cfs with a mean of 1,640 cfs. There is very little clarity downstream of Ketchum. Look for the Big Wood to be high and off color for at least the next week or so, BUT, be ready for possibly one of the better Green Drake years as the Wood should be in great shape when the Drakes start to happen. Given many of our hatches have been early this year it's likely the Green Drake madness will start on the Wood sometime on or just after the 20th of June.

The Lower Big Lost River  has gradually increased in flow to 534 cfs with a mean of 963 cfs. See the update in the previous post for patterns to use as not much has changed there. Look for the Lower Lost to continue to rise and be sure to check flows prior to heading over to Mackay.
