Picabo Angler Presents
Have you ever wanted to catch a marlin on the fly without trolling and teasing? Does going to an SUP camp to chase flats species like Permit and Tarpon in the skinniest water sound incredible? LOS LOCOS – MAGDALENA BAY
If you saw the last film festival, then you saw the Los Locos team from Mag Bay in southern Baja chasing giant pelagics with fly rods as well as inshore species like Roosterfish and Snook. George VanDercook of Los Locos will be at Whiskeys to give a short presentation on fly fishing the bay as well as take all your questions to help you find a way into the Bluewater! This is not to be missed. George puts the “A” in Adventure!
CAYO FRANCES FARM AND FLY
Our good friend Matt Pourbaix runs the fishing program at Cayo Frances and will be joining us to present and answer questions about his SUP (stand up paddleboard) and or guided fly fishing experience in Belize! This remote camp is opening the doors to DIY (do it yourself) fishing for anglers in search of an affordable trip loaded with as much adventure as you can dream up! Having a guided experience is also an option. This unique operation is for anglers and nonanglers alike!
FISH FOR CHANGE
Heather Harkavy representing "Fish for Change” will be in the house to speak about who, how, and why we are fly fishing. The mission of Fish for a Change is to use fly fishing as a platform to make the world a better place by uniting a diverse group of students in wild fisheries where they engage in a variety of initiatives that promote connection, education, conservation, and exploration. This is a must see presentation!
