Brown Drake Update - June 1, 2019
Is tonight the night? You won’t know if you don’t try! Last night we stood vigil on the banks of lower Silver Creek, awaiting the first Brown Drake emergence of 2019. Mother Nature decided to throw a wrench in our plans and send rain, wind, thunder, and lightning our way. So, as expected, we did not see any drakes last night.
It appears that we’ve got stable, favorable weather in the forecast for the next week or so. As such, the Brown Drakes ought to get rolling any time.
As the saying goes, you’ve got to be in it to win it, so it’s a good idea to be on Drake Watch from here on out.
Keep following our blog and social media for up to the minute Brown Drake information, or give us a call in the shop at 208-788-3536.
With the onset of the brown drake, lower Silver Creek will see quite an influx of anglers, so let’s all enjoy it together and appreciate it for the incredible event that it is. It’s all about Peace, Love, and Fly-fishing!
See you on the water…
